This is a 4-year scholarship awarded in the amount of $500 per semester (8) for a total of $4,000 to any graduating seniors that has successfully completed 3 or more years in the Katy I.S.D. FFA and Agriculture Science program.

The Scholarship Application is now ONLINE ONLY. No completed paper application will be accepted. No completed paper applications will be accepted from the counselor's office. No late completed applications will be accepted.

The first time you create/open an application, you will receive an email with further log-in credential instructions. Follow the email instructions to log back in to your "saved" application. All work will be saved each time you leave the site, even if unfinished. If you do not log in with your credentials, you will be creating a NEW application each and every time. Updates can be made until the due date.

Our current selection procedure is as follows:

1. All applications will be reviewed at 5:00 pm on the date due for completed/required documents. There is a specific reason for each and every document requested. Our by-laws require us to collect this information.
2. After the COMPLETION check, each applicant that fulfills this requirement will be advanced. If a submission is incomplete, it will be disqualified and will NOT move to ADVANCEMENT.
3. ADVANCEMENT will include a call from a committee member to schedule an interview time most convenient to the student on our interview date. It is up the student to provide us with accurate information on the application to enable this step. We will also email and contact parents/ag teachers as a secondary approach if there is a problem.
4. The student will appear before the board for a 15-minute interview to ask/answer any questions regarding their application.
5. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at their FFA End-of-Year banquet and are presented a custom embroidered jacket with the official L.D. Robinson Scholarship logo, their name, the name of their high school, and year of graduation. A letter stating how to receive your first check will also be presented.
